Stargazing Desert Dinner

A telescope, an astronomer and the clearest sky you've seen in years

Drive past the light-pollution line, eat a Bedouin-style dinner as the sky switches on, then work through planets, nebulae and star clusters with a guide who knows the sky and a telescope that does it justice. Winter nights regularly show the Milky Way core to the naked eye.

Best time

New-moon weeks; October–April for crisp air

Entry & fees

Per person incl. transfer, dinner and telescope session — live price below.

Insider tip

Ask the astronomer for Saturn if it's up. Hearing a carload of adults gasp at the rings never gets old.

1001 Nights Show & Dinner

Horses, whirling dervishes and full Arabian-kitsch glory

A purpose-built Arabian-nights arena staging horse stunts, tanoura (whirling dervish) performances, belly dance and a pharaonic pageant, wrapped around an Egyptian buffet dinner. It is gloriously over the top and completely aware of it — bring kids or bring a sense of humour, ideally both.

Best time

Any evening; book ahead in peak season

Entry & fees

Show + dinner ticket per person; show-only seats sometimes available — live price below.

Insider tip

The tanoura act mid-show is the genuinely world-class ten minutes — put the phone down for it.
